The Hymn Project

The hymn project creates hymns that will play on a Rodgers Organ.

They should be recorded on SW GT PD. Alternations between keyboards and leaving out pedals for a verse is good, transpositions and modulations are not.

We reommend using the Instant Organist Pistons, a free download.

The GT Krummhorn may be used, but not as a solo voice.

No MIDI Voices.

The hymn needs saved as a SMF (on a PR-300S hold STOP and press SAVE).

The name needs to follow this format:

COMEYETHANKFUL.F.4.F.edj.MID

Tune, Key, Number of Verses, Full or Short introduction (we recommend full verse), initials of organist and .mid which identifies it as a SMF file.

We license the hymn to a church for $5, the organist gets $2, which is half after bank fees come out.

We keep track and pay by PayPal.

Do not worry about duplicating hymns....some people will look for the initials of the organists they prefer.

Post questions here.
